Amanda Harlan – Testimonial

Originally from the Napa Valley, I began traveling to Southern California to train with Jan when I was 13 years old. There was no question that his ability to communicate, teach and convey in a way that resonated with me and the way I learned, was in total alignment. Soon thereafter, we purchased my Dutch Warmblood, Liberté, and proceeded to achieve numerous Individual and Team medals at the FEI North American Young Rider Championships, 4 years in a row. In the fall of 2007, I traveled to Germany with Jan, and purchased my Hanoverian mare, Rosenzauber 8, who is now 18 years old. Jan spent the first 5 years diligently and thoughtfully putting the training into her, while I continued competing through Young Riders, and finishing school at University of Southern California. The search and purchase of a horse was extremely streamlined and personalized. Much work had been done by Jan, and wife Amy Ebeling, prior to the trip, and only horses who were appropriate for my level and goals were presented for consideration. The entire process was handled in a very professional manner, ending in an extremely successful outcome.

Liberté is now retired from the competition arena, enjoying sunshine on his back, and the ability to enjoy life at a much slower pace. My competitive career on Rosenzauber 8 last year in Wellington was very fruitful, earning consistent scores in the 70’s. The Acres provides an environment of great inspiration, motivation, consistency and reliability. Amy and Jan are fully committed to the health and wellbeing of each and every horse, tending to each horses’ specific needs 365 days a year. The Ebeling team both help strategize a path and plan to reach my goals on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. They have an amazing team, who take care of every detail meticulously, and are devoted to providing the best support and care for each horse and rider. I feel so grateful to be part of such a special team, challenging me to grow, stretch, and rise to my fullest potential.
