USEF Names Teams For Aachen CHIO

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced the athletes who will represent the United States in four disciplines at the World Equestrian Festival CHIO, Jul. 8-17, in Aachen, Germany.

In dressage, Steffen Peters of San Diego, Calif., will compete aboard Ravel; Jan Ebeling of Moorpark, Calif., will ride Rafalca; Guenter Seidel of Cardiff, Calif., will ride UII; and Todd Flettrich of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., will ride Otto. Catherine Haddad-Staller of Vechta, Germany, and Winyamaro will be the first substitute.

Chester Weber of Ocala, Fla., will compete in the driving competition.

The show jumping competitors were announced on June 10.

Four women and two men will compete in the individual vaulting competition: Mary McCormick, Katharine Wick, Elizabeth Ioannou, Kalyn Geisler, Devon Maitozo and Joseph Gadd.

The Woodside vaulting team will consist of Gabe Aniello, Alyssa Bonora, Tessa Divita, Kathryn Jaggers, Siddartha Kreaden, Samantha Smith and Katharine Wick.

The Mt. Eden vaulting team will be comprised of Joseph Gadd, Michelle Guo, Elizabeth Ioannou, Florence Rubinger, Tasha Thorner, Alexandra Thrasher and Mackenzie Thurman.

For the first time, the USEF will field a Pas de Deux consisting of Maitozo and Rosalind Ross
